Procedural shapes
Polygons, stars, rects and custom paths with every parameter animatable. Scatter them along a circle, a grid or a path instead of duplicating layers.
Ravel is an open-source video editor where every effect, layer and transition is a node. Cut the way you always have, then open any layer and wire it procedurally.
Shapes, fields, text and audio all speak geometry and attributes, so the output of one family is the input of the next. Nothing lives in a separate plugin silo.
Polygons, stars, rects and custom paths with every parameter animatable. Scatter them along a circle, a grid or a path instead of duplicating layers.
Noise, curl noise, falloff, gradients and expressions. Blend fields together and apply them to any attribute.
Each character is a point you can scatter, offset and animate. Text follows paths. Made for lyric videos and title sequences.
Spectrum analysis and beat detection on the song you are cutting to, wired straight into any parameter.
Write a custom effect in WGSL and watch it run on the GPU as you type. The same wgpu device draws the interface.

A composition holds ordered layers. Each layer owns a node network, and its timing, transform and blend mode compile into nodes too. Switching views converts nothing.
